Steve started his career in manufacturing, before joining leading implementation consultancy Celerant Consulting in 1989 (now Hitachi Consulting). Steve first started working in the Oil & Gas industry in the early 1990’s, later becoming a main board director of ASCO Group in 1998, running their European Businesses and heading their global HSE team.
After leaving ASCO in 2003, Steve formed Optimus Seventh Generation, highly regarded behavioural safety business, which he sold to Dekra in July 2015. As a director of JBC, Steve also led major change programmes with two Operating Companies in the North Sea Oil & Gas industry.
Steve studied at De Montfort University in Leicester (Diploma in Management Studies, Diploma in Marketing), before attending specialist courses at Cranfield University and INSEAD (near Paris). Steve is married and has two children studying at University.
